Removal of the torsion
spring.
WATCH OUT! It's a spring and it'll take
your hand off, rip your finger out of its socket, etc.. BE CAREFUL WHEN
WORKING WITH THIS STUFF.
move the head to the top and lock it in place with the
stop. remove the spring cup cover. |

using gloves, i grabbed the lever arm and unscrewed the
bolt that screws into the head. the lever will want to rotate
counterclockwise. |

remove the lever and the spring and you're left with the
cup. |
|
the spring is held in place on the other side of the
column with a collar. |
